James O’Shea is a 3L living in Wrigleyville. He was born and raised in the city of Chicago. He graduated from Purdue University and briefly attended grad school at Northern Illinois University, where he was pursuing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology before leaving to attend Law School. James has worked numerous jobs in many different fields in his life and is an avid sport fan. He played three sports in high school, and unlike the previous president, is a HUGE Bears fan, but his heart will always belong to the Blackhawks. He looks forward to serving as your president, and hopes to each and every one of you will get involved with the SBA.
Delvecchio Parks, SBA Vice-President

Delvecchio Parks is a 3L from Atlanta, GA. He attended Georgia Southern University, where he earned a bachelor's and master's degree in psychology. Delvecchio worked as a mental health counselor, and has been a proprietor of his own business. While a student at John Marshall, Delvecchio has been actively involved in numerous extracurricular activities and held leadership positions. Currently, Delvecchio is an intern at the Public Defender and works for the City of Chicago as a law clerk. Upon graduation Delvecchio will practice criminal defense, labor, or civil rights law.
M. Carolina Guzman, Secretary

M. Carolina Guzman is a 3L. She currently lives in the Gold Coast, but grew up in the suburbs. She earned her degree in criminal justice from Saint Louis University. On her time off, which is not much, she likes to take her dog, Bimmer the Wiener Dog, to the beach or to Lincoln Park. Along with the SBA, she spends a lot of time helping with the Office of Diversity Affairs. She has been a law clerk at the Cook County's State's Attorney for over a year, and hopes to start her career with the State's Attorney. She is your SBA Secretary, so if you need anything email her. Ryan Crotty, Treasurer

Ryan Crotty is a 2L from the north side of the city. After earning a bachelor's in English Education from Purdue University, he returned to Chicago in 2004. Since then, Ryan has worked a wide array of jobs, from leading groups on a team's course to making kettle corn at fairs to teaching gymnastics and fitness to young children. Now he is here at John Marshall and an active member of both the SBA and Phi Alpha Delta. Ryan is your SBA Treasurer, so if you've got any great ideas for events, fundraisers, or just something you think the school needs, let him know!
Claire Chaplinski, ABA Representative

Claire Chaplinski is a 3L and a graduate of Purdue University with a BA in political science. Prior to law school, Claire worked for a bank’s loan department and for a healthcare technology company. Claire has lived in Chicago for five years, and enjoys spending time along the lakefront (in the summer), exploring Chicago’s many restaurants, and supporting the White Sox. Claire’s best day ever would be sitting along the first base line at Comiskey eating a “polish with.” If you have any questions about the ABA, please don’t hesitate to shoot her an email!
Richard Shina, CBA Representative

Richard Shina is awesome. Originally from Cleveland, in his 31 years on this Earth he has also lived in Chicago once before moving back here for law school, has lived in Phoenix, and in Denver. After graduating from Arizona State University in 2003, Rick mainly worked in fine-dining restaurants, earning his level-one sommelier certificate. Having talked his way out of a criminal speeding ticket, Rick decided it was time to get serious, and enrolled in law school.
Pooja Dosi, ISBA Representative

Pooja Dosi is a 2L and a graduate of the greatest place on earth, the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Pooja bleeds Badger Red, and has a healthy addiction to network television. As she is currently trying to survive her third full semester of law school, she believes she has attained enough legal knowledge to help guide you overwhelmed 1Ls through your first year. Pooja is outgoing and friendly (most of the time), so if you need information about ISBA, JMLS, or anything, don’t hesitate to ask!
Conor McNulty, Evening Student Liaison

Conor McNulty is a native Chicagoan. He graduated from John Carroll University with a BSBA from the Boler School of Business. Before attending The John Marshall Law School in the fall of 2010, Conor worked for six years. He has extensive experience in marketing, sales, and management. Conor has worked as a law clerk for the City of Chicago’s Department of Law, as well as a law clerk Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.
